Payntwagon Audio was started in 2003 from home and opened it's first shop in Centurion in 2005. The company is owned by Kevin Paynter who is also known as Kingaqua on the Forums he frequents.
In 2006 the shop was moved to Welkom in the Freestate where it had huge success for a short period. Due to 9 robberies in 7 months the shop was closed and moved back to Centurion.
Payntwagon Audio won the 2006 IASCA Sound Quality Challenge (SQC) championship and is still active on the Competition Front. We recently built the Targa Hyundai Accent and competed at the 2008 IASCA Semi-Finals in Durban, where we achieved 2nd overall and also took first in Utlimate Pro class for 2008 Finals and Second overall.

A lot of shops make promises of backup service, but only a few deliver. I deliver all of the time. I treat each customer as a member of my family and will strive to make your system be as good if not better than my own.
Sound Quality is the main focus of all my installs, but it should always make you smile, no matter what your budget or vehicle.
I will always endeavour to make you happy with your sound at all costs. If you are not happy with the sound of your system bought from me, I will gladly trade any piece of equipment you bought, with any another product bought from me, at no additional cost. I will thus refund the you full retail paid for the equipment as credit, to use on buying something else from Payntwagon Audio.
I only work on one car at a time, and will devote all my energy on that install.
I treat each vehicle like my own, and will make sure each wire, each screw and each trim panel removed and refit, is done up to my own standards.
I try to work within each customer's budget, designing systems that can achieve the greatest audio performance within that budget. Often going out of my way to reach their goals. You will never find me pushing equipment on customers just to try and make some extra cash.
Equipment sold by me and suggested by me for your install is done so from experience. I only sell equipment I have used myself before, or have tested myself. This is why I can mix and match different brands and components to define what your system should sound like.
I guarantee my work and products 100% for 12 months, if it is installed by Payntwagon Audio. If something breaks, I will do my best to replace it or repair it, and you will still keep the remainder of your guarantee.

Payntwagon Audio clients are enthusiastic about car audio. Most of them require a system that can last a long time, with full knowledge and security that the system can be used from car-to-car and upgrade-to-upgrade.
Payntwagon Audio prefers to install full systems. This way I can guarantee that all work done, and equipment sold to you is from me and by me. Fixing other bad installer's work is always more costly.
Payntwagon Audio does sell equipment for DIY installation too, but guarantee's are limited compared to if it is done by Payntwagon Audio. I believe that DIY is a very good thing, as clients respect their own handy work more. If you plan to DIY equipment bought from Payntwagon, I will gladly guarantee the equipment after inspecting your installation, but as can be expected, the guarantee's will be limited.

Payntwagon Audio offers a trade in agreement on all equipment bought and installed by Payntwagon. This means that I will buy back your old equipment after or within 12 months of your installations in credit for new equipment. This means you can use your old equipmet to buy new equipment every year.
The amount of Trade In Credit you can get depends on the purchase value of the products, and the condition they are in. It also depends on their validity in the current market. Boxes, manuals and shipping material that comes with your equipmet will increase their value.

Payntwagon Audio has an Audio System Servicing Schedule that will guarantee the value, safety and longevity of your equipment.
I recommend servicing of your sound system every 3 month to ensure that your equipment stays in good health and condition. Too many times I have found that clients neglect their sound systems and then run into trouble with their systems later on in it's life. Dust, rain, rust and other natural things can damage sound equipment. Just the daily vibrations and road rumble can cause srews to rattle loose. By servicing your Audio system regularly you can ensure that these things have little or no effect.
On newly installed systems I offer the following schedule for free:
Then on a regular basis it is advised to bring in your Audio system to have it serviced. For this I have the following servicing options.
All Payntwagon Installed systems will get a 50% discount on the prices mentioned above.
If upgrades are done to your car during any of these servicing intervals, then the amount charged for the service will be credited towards the fitment of the upgrades.
